An impressive career can conceal many a sad story beneath. Winner of the USA and World Championships in the event of a hurdle, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after plenty of effort and enormous amount of perseverance. Jones, who was born to a motherless family and had five children living suffering from poverty and hardships as a youngster, experienced an incredibly difficult childhood. Her mother lived along the roads and inside the basement of the local church at one point. Jones needed to go to an entirely new high school every year due to her nomadic upbringing. Jones was separated from her family at Theodore Roosevelt for the purpose of competing in track and field events. Jones lived with four different families in order to ensure that she was studying at a high level. Jones received the Gatorade track and field athlete of the Award at the high school level. As a student cellist, Jones was also part of the school's orchestra. Jones began her career at the college level as one of the top hurdlers. In the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship she took home the 100-meter hurdles. In addition, she was on the winning team of 100-meter relay. Jones won both the indoor and outdoor hurdles events at the NCAA Championship in 2003. Jones, after completing her studies in 2005, began to work hard in track. Jones won Torino Memorial in 2005, and also Ostrava and Heusden races the following year.
Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated from Cape Town to Auckland New Zealand with her family in her late teens. Her talent was recognized in Auckland by local cast director Brandt. She took the part of Naevia as the Starz show Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Her performance was a hit among the public and producers Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen is a Vertigo/DC Comics character that she portrayed in Netflix's cult program Lucifer. The series lasted more than six years. Forbes has ranked Lucifer the most binged-out show in 2021. Brandt's next performance will be in the six-episode Walking Dead spin-off in 2024, opposite Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. She will also be starring alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated series Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley Ann Brandt was born on the 2nd of December in Cape Town, South African. She's a very talented New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt, along with her whole family, moved to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. After just a couple of years being employed in the retail industry her promotion was to IT manager consultant. Lesley's first job was a handful of modeling projects. She then appeared in many commercial ads. She completed her degree in acting and further trained in Meisner methods of studying. Lesley's very first prominent acting role was on the TV drama Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt appeared in the New Zealand drama Shortland Street as a supporting visitor part. The next time she appeared on the show was This Is Not My Life. It's based on the actual tale of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The character was later reprised as the character in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
